Fit in Family Appointments

Early this weekend my husband and I talked about our plans to fit chores, fun and entertaining into two all-too-short days. One of the items on our To Do list was to sit down and talk two big items for any couple–finances and synchronization of our calendars.

He said, “Let’s talk at 3:30 p.m.” When we set aside the specific time, we made two things happen. First, we both agreed the topic was of value to both of us. Second, by setting aside a special time we made sure these important items didn’t get overshadowed by all the weekend activities.

You can use appointments to schedule family time, insure you get special me-time, or make anything special happen.

Do you make appointments within your family? We would like to hear about your experiences!
