Pumpkin Pie Guidelines for Organizing

Pumpkin PieHere are the first ever Pumpkin Pie Guidelines for Organizing! These aren’t rules–just guidelines, so have fun and enjoy the pumpkin pie or your dessert of choice. Here are five guidelines you can appy to Pumpkin Pie or to organizing your life.
  1. Enjoy the amount for which you have room. Too much pumpkin pie leaves you feeling too full. Too much stuff can lead to feelings of overwhelm and piles of clutter.
  2. Keep it simple. You can enjoy your pumpkin pie on fine china or on a paper plate, but a simple plan for serving and cleaning up will keep everyone happy in the dining room and the kitchen. Simple organizing systems serve well for long term success.
  3. Be realistic. With pumpkin pie our eyes are sometimes bigger than our stomachs and we make unrealistic decisions about how big a piece of pie to tackle. Realistic plans for organizing will accommodate time lines and other constraints.
  4. Get help when you need it. Who says all yummy pumpkin pies need to be home-baked? Many a successful pie originated in a bakery or frozen food aisle. Your organizing help can come from a variety of sources including family, friends, and a professional organizer.
  5. Share with others. Good dessert tastes even better with good company. When your environment is organized you will feel comfortable in having family and friends help you celebrate and share life events.

What guidelines would you add? We would be ever so grateful to hear from you.
