Cards On Time

We have all been there, whether it’s “couldn’t get to the store on time,” “couldn’t get to the post office early enough,” or you completely forget; the priority of sending out cards can get lost in the busyness of our daily lives.

Here are a few helpful hints that may make this process somewhat easier:

At the beginning of each month purchase all the cards you will need for that month.  Send them out at the beginning of each month.  You may be a bit early for some of the occasions but it is better than being late or not sending anything out at all.

As for thank you cards, have some thank you cards addressed, stamped and ready to go.  This will allow you to write a quick message, put the address on the envelope and send within a quick time frame.

For certain occasions such as bridal and baby showers, prepare envelopes with your return address as well as a stamp and have  all of your guests write their address on an envelope.  This way after the party is over all you have to do is write a quick thank you and send out the cards.

In order to help stay ahead of things, while purchasing cards for present events, buy in bulk.  Buy 4 or 5 cards at once.  This helps out in situation where you are pressed for time.  Sort them in an accordion device based on category.  This makes an easy retrieval  for you to grab an appropriate card and you are ready to send!
