Set Aside Time Now and Be Prepared Later

j0426626Are you and your family prepared for an emergency? During September the Department of Homeland Security sponsored National Preparedness Month.  In the Midwest our biggest weather threats are not currently in season ( tornados and snow storms) but they are just around the corner.  It is a great time to get ready.  Homeland Security has a great web site  www.ready.gov to help you get your family or business ready for a natural disaster.  Do you have an emergency kit for your home?  The web site gives you a good list of what to put in your kit.  It will also help you make a plan and inform you about potential local emergencies.  I have an emergency kit in my basement.  My project today is to get the “Make a Kit” checklist off of www.ready.gov  and make sure my kit has all the recommended supplies.  After you make your kit, let me know how it goes.
