Tips to help you organize your office

There are many things to help you get organized in your office but you want to invest in some important tools to get you started off on the right foot.


Invest in good quality filing cabinets and supplies.  File cabinets that the drawers stick on or are unstable with the weight of files,  are not only unsafe but a time waster.

Stay lean and focused, “set” a block of time and work within that time to get your desktop clean.  Get rid of unused items.  Use drawer organizers to keep like items together. 

Cancel Trade Newsletters & Magazines if you don’t read them or can get them online.

 Box Bottom file folders might be just the right solution if you have some thicker files.  I like the 2 inch capacity best because they are not too heavy.

 Sort the papers in the “IN” box, a small pile at a time, until the box is empty.
