Take Functional Storage Gardenside

The annual garden walk to benefit the local Historic Dodge House was full of ideas for the gardener and the organizer. Here are a couple of clever ways to keep things both handy and beautiful in your garden area.

An old rake minus the handle can be fastened to the potting or utility shed. With the tines facing out, the result is a series of peg-like hooks that can hold hand tools including shears. Clippers can rest on the horizontal area. The result is a striking visual display of tools that are always at the ready to keep the garden area even more lovely.

A long ladder can be stored horizontally on hooks mounted to a sturdy board fence. The bonus is that the hooks can also be used to hang pots or baskets of flowers.

Think storage and creative at the same time for your garden area. Enjoy the pleasures of gardening as well as the functionality of your newfound space.
