Shall I Keep Those Clothes?

Shall I keep all these clothes I have not worn for five years?” asked Peggy. “Some are great suits that cost a lot of money.”

Here are some helpful tips when trying to decide about the fate of those old clothes in your closet:

  • Does it fit? If it doesn’t, how likely is it that it will fit in the future? Be realistic!
  • Does it make you feel good when you wear it? Ill-fitting pieces or inappropriate cuts don’t have a place in  your busy life.
  • Does it match your lifestyle? If your work or leisure situation has changed, chances are so have your clothing needs.

As you are change your closet contents to reflect the current you, consider donating them to charity. Good as new clothing that is still in style may be attractive to resale or consignment shops. According to TheFunTimesGuide.com, it is difficult to sell clothing at most garage sales.

Is your closet like a mirror, reflecting who you are? I would like to hear from you.
