Perfectionism causes stress!

Perfectionism causes stress – do your best, but accept that you’ll never be perfect!

Start by determining what it is that causes your stress. Is it because you have clutter that needs to be processed?  Paper piles in your home and office?  Can’t find the room itself for the clutter that is on the floors?  Don’t know how to set up a filing system so you don’t know where to put the papers?  If you can identify your stressors, you can begin to change your behavior:

  • Develop a support group that you can talk to when the going gets tough.
  • Eat good food, get plenty of sleep, exercise and do some deep breathing.
  • Use a grocery list and stick to it to give you ideas on healthy foods and
  • Start with small tasks as to not get overwhelmed.
  • Make it a point to avoid alcohol, tobacco and caffeine.
  • Go off for time alone or spend time enjoying a hobby – it’s a great way to take your mind off the everyday pressures we all face.
  • Give yourself a break… too much to do and not enough time?  Call a Professional Organizer to help you get a handle on the clutter that is stressing you out.
  • Lighten your load and give yourself more leisure time.
  • Take time to enjoy life and smell the flowers.
